Sensory Bins & Kits Containing Water Beads

Safety
Toy safety is the top priority for our company and our products are tested and meet all U.S. Safety Standards and those required by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recommended age for our sensory bins is for children ages 3+. The water beads used in our sensory bins are non-toxic and will not grow any larger than 10mm, which is smaller than the regulated standard of 20mm.

Do not eat water beads or place in mouth, nose, or ears. Sensory sand should also be kept away from mouth, nose, and eyes. If contact should occur, rinse the area with water.

If you suspect water beads have been swallowed or if they become lodged in the nose or ears, seek medical attention - due to expansion.
Water beads should safely pass through the digestive tract if ingested however, it is recommended to contact your physician or veterinarian for medical advice and to prevent any possible complications - especially for younger children. Bring water beads along with you for your visit. For any additional information, please have your physician contact 800-311-8684 or email info@fabercastell.com.

Care
To keep the Sensory Bin, sensory sand and water beads clean, always wash hands before use. Bottled, filtered or distilled water is recommended for growing your water beads.

Keep water beads separated from the sensory sand and wash them in a colander with warm soapy water (dish soap), rinse and drain after play; then store them in a separate resealable bag or container. For longer storage, consider drying your water beads fully. Accessories can be kept clean in the same fashion.

Because of the damp environment, over time it is possible for mold to grow on your water beads. If water beads develop an odor or grow mold, discard them.

Do not dispose of water beads into sink, garbage disposal or drain.
Properly dispose in trash bin or work into soil to hydrate plants and conserve water.

Tips & Additional Information
Place a towel or table cover under your Sensory Bin to collect any water beads if any spills occur.

Water and humidity will change the consistency of your sensory sand.

If your sand appears to be too dry when you begin:
Add a drop or two of bottled, filtered or distilled water and work it in. This should restore the sand to a soft consistency. Be sure to gradually add only one or two drops at a time. If too much water is added, it can dissolve and will not be workable.

If your sand appears to be too wet:
The sand can be spread out on a pan and air dried as needed to return it to its original texture.

If water beads shrink, you can rehydrate them.

The tub and lid are made of Polypropylene (PP) and is recyclable as a #5 plastic.
The bins can of course be reused for other purposes, but it's good to know that when play is done or if it becomes broken, the entire package including the cardboard sleeve can be recycled.

Water beads and sensory sand are popular trends. Extra supplies can be found at your local craft store or your favorite online retailer that you trust.
