The cap and barrel of the Ecco Pigment Pens are made from pre-consumer waste plastic materials, coming from the automotive industry. Pre-consumer waste means that the material was sorted out during a production process because the final product did not fit in the specification for its original purpose. Normally this material/product would be disposed of. Our supplier found a technology to recycle this material and bring it back into the raw materials circle to become a completely different and new product - e.g. our Ecco Pigment Pen.
